Spring Clean-Up (Update)

in AAA, community events, recycling, trash

Due to a VDOT inspection on the county roads this week we were notified by VDOT today that we can’t place the roll off container as scheduled this week near the entrance to the townhomes for your larger bulk items.

AAA will be accommodating the community by removing any Bulk/Junk items on the regular TRASH DAY curbside next to your trash cans.  As normal, AAA will not remove the following: Rocks, concrete, dirt, mulch, tires, soil, sod, tree stumps, paint, motor oil, construction trash/renovation debris, combustibles, toxic or hazardous wastes, or any other material excluded from the disposal site, or any applicable state or federal law, as being hazardous or toxic.  As well as flammable products, dead animals, fecal matter, manure, brick, landscaping timbers, friable asbestos, lead acid/wet cell batteries, bio-hazardous material, needles, and other medical waste.

AAA will also be running a trash truck and Appliance/Metal truck through on Tuesday, May 17th.  The trash truck will remove whatever items are placed at the curb at no extra cost to you to assist in your spring cleaning efforts.  Thank you. Read more »

No Trash Collection - February 9, 2010

in AAA, recycling, trash, weather

Due to street conditions, there is no trash collection today, February 9, 2010.

Snow Storm

in AAA, recycling, trash, weather

AAA Trash and Recycling has sent the following notification regarding residential service:

Depending on the amount of weather and conditions over the weekend, AAA is anticipating conditions that will be unusual to all.  We would like to inform you that AAA Drivers will probably not service pipestems, alleyways, or areas that they deem unsafe for their truck and the community.   To assist and ensure removal, residents should probably bring their trash or recycling to an accessible area.  We will try to safely get to all trash and recycling.  We appreciate your patience during another weather event.

Also, in order to allow snow plows to perform thorough cleanup of the roads in our community, we ask that you please move vehicles off the streets and into your driveways and garages wherever possible. Read more »
